Different Types of Italian Restaurants in Canada

Stepping into an Italian restaurant takes you to another part of the world. The interior is elegant, the waiters are neat, and the menus are simply divine. Most Italian restaurants have all of that in common. They also have fantastic wine selections, and award-winning chefs head the kitchens. However, there are different types of Italian restaurants. It’s hard to distinguish between them because the differences are so subtle. Here is a brief guide to the different types of Italian restaurants that you can dine in, such as the following.

These establishments primarily serve pizza. There two kinds; the traditional-type and the pizza à taglio. You can sit down, order, and dine in the traditional-type pizza restaurant. Pizza à taglio, on the other hand, allows you to order just a slice and eat while on your feet.

Trattorias are more casual and geared towards less expensive. Their food is more homelike, and it’s made from recipes that were handed down through the generations. Such establishments are usually run and staffed by members of the same family.

These are more like fast food cafes or buffets. The food is ready to go and arranged behind glass counters. All customers need to do is take a try and load it with whatever they need.

Paninoteca

Paninotecas are humble sandwich shops. You can find a wide selection of bread, sauces, cheese, and other delicacies at such establishments. All the sandwiches are prepared as you wait, and they are made from the freshest ingredients.
